A place to talk about the Lord ofthe Rings movies, directed by Peter Jackson and starring Elijah Wood, Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom, and Sean Astin. Although it doesn't follow the story very closely, there is some great scenery and great actors.

Yeah, his eyes were a bit freaky.

However, if Peter Jackson did a few things right, they were:

1.Hiring WETA. I cannot say enough about this. They did a spectacular job.

2.The cast. They did a wonderful job, too. WEhen I read the story now, when Im reading dialogue, I can hear Orlando Bloom and the rest speaking.

3. THE SCENERY! New Zealand was absolutely gorgeous. My favorite part was actually when they were sailing down the Anduin. That was awesome! Did you know that Helms Deep and MInas Tirith were built in the same place?
